Stray

Location data

When you use the "Find nearest canil" or "Find a vet" features, the app asks your device for permission to use your location. This is used only on your device to calculate which canil is closest to you and to centre the Google Maps search.

Your location is never sent to our servers, stored, or shared with any third party. If you include a map link in your email to a canil, that is your choice and happens through your own email app.

Data storage

The app saves your language preference (English or Portuguese) locally on your device. No other personal data is stored.

There are no user accounts, no login, no passwords, and no database. The app does not use cookies.

Emails

When you send an email to a canil, the app opens your own email client (or Gmail) with a pre-filled message. The email is sent from your account, not through Stray. We never see or store the contents of your emails.

Analytics and tracking

Stray does not use any analytics, tracking scripts, advertising, or third-party services that collect data about you. No information about your usage is collected or transmitted.

External links

The app contains links to Google Maps, organisation websites, and email addresses. When you follow these links you leave Stray and are subject to those services' own privacy policies.
